Throughout the quaint, cheery town of Hood River, there are many pleasant places to stop and grab a bite to eat. Just by strolling through town, you will spot many unique bistros and cafes that offer scrumptious meals.
Not many people enjoy going out for breakfast, but if you are feeling up to it, Egg Harbor is a fantastic place to enjoy a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, cheesy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and perfectly browned toast. Overall, Egg Harbor is a cozy, relaxing place to have a laugh with your family or friends and gobble down an extremely satisfying meal.
Next, the small town of Hood River offers overwhelming options for lunch, but I will just mention a couple. First of all, Doppio is a comfortable caffe that offers delicious smoothies, soups, sandwiches, salads, wraps and cookies! The employees are warm, welcoming, and constantly on their toes, ready to exceed your needs. In addition to Doppio, another fun environment to snack on delicious lunch eats is Hood River Bagels. They offer freshly made bagels of all sorts, and you can even create a sandwich to your liking!
Lastly, my all time favorite place to eat in Hood River is 6th Street Bistro. It is a wonderful place to visit with your family for a spectacular dinner with an array of mouth-watering, vividly enjoyable dishes. The productive employees will make you feel at home and offer you a lovely experience that you will never forget.

Learning to Windsurf
The small town of Hood River comes to life with its sporty, exuberant people. It is one of the windsurfing capitals of America, and is home to the gorgeous Columbia River. Everyday, this river is packed with windsurfers excited to hit the water and enjoy the unique experience of windsurfing in Hood River.
Windsurfing in Hood River attracts not only the experienced, but even the beginners. There is a calm, secluded area of the Columbia River where inexperienced windsurfers can receive lessons or rent gear to practice on quiet waters. The instructors are energetic about their job and make newcomers feel welcome. Windsurfing is an easy concept to grasp, and by the end of the lesson, you should feel confident in your ability as a windsurfer!
